What's Chainstitch Embroidery?

From western wear, to name patches and letterman jackets, chainstitch embroidery was utilized in all styles of casual and work wear. Unlike most sewing or embroidery machines, chainstitch machines are controlled by hand underneath the table, allowing for unique free-motion pieces (like a tattoo, but with thread!)

I use two machines to create chainstitch work, an antique Singer 114w103 from the 1920's for work in my studio, and a Consew 104-T for travel and events.
